Current Open Enrollment Update

For those of you with Medicare, this is a very important time of year. It is Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Period (MADP). This is the time frame, from January 1st - February 14th, when you can disenroll from a Medicare Advantage Plan if you are not satisfied with it for any reason. To disenroll, you may call Medicare, write to your Medicare Advantage Plan, or simply enroll in a Part D Medicare Drug Plan. By enrolling in a Part D Medicare Drug Plan, you will be automatically disenrolled from your Medicare Advantage Plan. This will place you back on Original Medicare, with the Part D Plan that you have enrolled in. If you disenroll by calling Medicare or writing to your current Medicare Advantage Plan, please remember to enroll in a Part D Medicare Drug Plan, in order to continue your drug coverage. Otherwise, you may not be able to obtain a Part D plan until 1/1/2012. If you have questions, please contact us. You may also be eligible for a Medicare Supplement Plan to supplement Original Medicare, if you disenroll from your Medicare Advantage Plan.
